Is there a progrme like DCC that can be used remotely, There is an option on DCC for http login but it doesnt seem to work

Wot do u use dcc for? I haven't used that prog for years now. For ftp I use an ftp client, for telnet I used command prompt/terminal/putty, and for webif I use ie/firefox... no need for dcc in my opinion...

Any ftp client will work perfectly. You just need to enter your WAN IP or a dyndns host name and forward the ftp port in your router to ur box. I use FlashFXP

i agree with flashfxp, i have been using a fully paid for version since the days of the original xbox1 hack and its never let me down yet.

Personally, unless ur fxp'ing, I prefer cuteftp as a paid for version...

But on mac, I'm quite liking transmit (thanks for the linking me to it andy ;))...

flashfxp is great. and when trial ends just uninstall, regedit and remove references from registry, reinstall and start again:)

Cuteftp for paid version or winscp is free and also does the job.

Ok I tried this ie fowarded port 21 login is successful but i then get a socket connection error ?

Try turning pasv on or off (opposite to what it currently is)

Where is the option for that

A little more info it works fine on my XP laptop but I have the issues using my windows 7 64bit laptop

Must be a firewall issue or sonething on ur laptop thats not letting you connect if you using identical settings on both
