how do i change my password on vix?

how do i change my password on vix?
ive tried to log in remotely to the vu+ duo
and i dont know the default password
how do i change it to a new password?

the default password is blank as in none set.

To set a password

Telnet into the box
Login user name is root then hit enter
you should see a ~#
Type passswd ( exactly like that ) then type your new password and hit enter followed by the new password again dont be alarmed if nothing shows as you type it's still working.

there is NO password set as default.

I changed mine back from password to empty in network settings / network mounts / vu duo as untill I changed this I was unable to ftp or telnet to the duo since the update.
