hmm you should be able to do on a computer by connecting to both your dm800 and vu duo in an ftp client and transfer them over from media/hdd/movie in dm800 to media/hdd/movie in ur duo

You could use FTP software that support site to site transfer or connect both to linux pc and transfer that way.

You can do, I did this last week when swapping a 200GB for a 500GB, the image saw the movies fine, it was bloody slow 9 hours to move it to PC and than another 9 t move to the new HDD.

Looks like gonna have to just delete them so as I have about 380GB of HD recordings.

Dont fancy waiting 10hrs to to move to PC and another 10 to move to new HDD.

If u have a usb enclosure u can put ur 800 hdd in to, thenu could connect it to the usb of ur duo, and use telnet to copy them over/move them (use the & symbol after the command to leave it running in the background). Done this before overnight with about 1tb of movies. Just left it running, and following morning all there...

I just chose a few recordings worth keeping and deleted the rest. Sure half the stuff will be on again no doubt. I did give it a bash but the transfer rate was ridiculously slow avg between 6/9 mb.
