Hi guys, i would appreciate some help here, if you can please.
I found the projec-valerie module, here:
http://code.google.com/p/project-valerie

Having trouble trying to install it. To reproduce the problem
1. Transfer project-valerie ipk to VU+ Solo via FTP to the /tmp dir.
2. Install ipk with VIX Ipk Manager.
3. It asks to install, i do, then asks restart GUI, i do, then nothing is installed.

I can't attached the project-valerie log, as there isn't one.
I would assume i would need to locate the VU+/Enigma2 install log to see what is causing the error, but can't seem to find it. Would really appreciate help on this.

The version of project-valerie is:
project-valerie_rev816_mipsel_oe16.ipk

I have also tried this via Telnet:

root@vusolo:/var/volatile/tmp# opkg install project-valerie_rev589_mipsel_oe16.ipk
Multiple replacers for project-valerie, using first one (enigma2-plugin-extensions-project-valerie).
Multiple replacers for project-valerie, using first one (enigma2-plugin-extensions-project-valerie).
Package enigma2-plugin-extensions-project-valerie is already installed on root.
root@vusolo:/var/volatile/tmp#

I try to remove it:
opkg remove project-valerie*

No packages removed.

Need help on this.
thanks,
D.

Many thanks,
Darren.

Try installing the latest version vix has of project valerie via menu/plugins/download plugins/extensions/ and that should work. Thats how i use it and it downloads and installs perfect. The only thing if it asks u to update then dont update as it wont install it. It will only install what is in the plugin feeds

Thanks for the reply punisher,

I did just that and installed project-valerie via:
menu/plugins/download plugins/extensions/ -- project-valerie

It installed perfectly, but when i go to the Synchronize option, it says:
"ProjectValerieSync module is not installed".

So i cant sync my media
Log attached.

Thank you,
Darren.

I just updated vix to the latest version.
Why is my ProjectValerieSync directory not installed?
Is there anywhere else I can get help?
Thanks.

Ok here us a solution to the above problem if anyone needs it...

Download the .ipk from the Project Valerie website.
Unpack the .ipk (7zip worked for me) and then the data .tar within.
Then copy the usr folder to the / of your Vu+.

Thats it. Now you have your downloaded version installed (and not the outdated from the feed).

By the way, i think it's not a Valerie bug but a ViX image bug (had no problems with VTI or BlackHole) because it installs the version from the feed and i doubt the Project Valerie team implemented the ViX feed address for their updates...

Hope that helps someone if you had the same issue as me.
Regards,
Darren.
