help setting up dreambox live on iphone

Hi guys,

could you please help me get dreambox live working on my iphone please. I would like to be able to watch my vu+ duo from another location using there wifi connection

i have installed it on my iphone. I have setup a dyndns account

i put the following details in my iphone but it doesnt work

host or ip address - b******.dyndns.org
label - my box
zap - multituner
quality - high
web interface port 12000
streaming port - 80 (unsure if this is right as i dont know how to find out what this should be)
user name - left blank for the momnet as its not http is not protected for now
password - same as above
cache - 2500
force audio synchronization - off

any help would be much appreciated

Does it work at home o ur home network? Also have you forwarded port 1200 in ur router so you can access the duo externally? Also whats ur upload download speed?

I have forwarded port 12000 in my router and can confirm this works externally. i did manage a few months ago to get it to work in my house but i lost the data i put in so cant get it to work again

As far as i remember.. you must use username and password ..

Username = root and Password should be the password you use to ftp your box..

ive put the username and password in mate now that i use to ftp into the box

still not working though:(

Change ur streaming port to 8001 and make sure that is forwarded too in the router too

right guys, Ive managed to get it working at my home address:)

any idea what i nedd to put in the ip address field to get it working using wifi at say maccys?? heres the details im using now

host or ip address - 192.168.XXX.XXXl
zap - multituner
quality - high
web interface port 80
streaming port - 8001
user name - left blank
password - left blank
cache - 2500

you mentioned in your first post that you already had a dyndns account

you need to use that and make sure it is either setup on ur router so it updates your ip address to your dyndns account

One thing i forgot to mention is you might have a few problems streaming externally mainly due to upload/download speeds. Whats yours? You might want to consider something along the lines of slingbox. Google it and read up on it as its pretty decent and i think one or 2 people here have it and it just streams at a lower rate than stay streaming directly from ur box
