View Full Version : vu+duo for a xtrend/ clark tech et 9000
Hi I fancy something new to play with so Iam offering my vu+duo in an excellent condition I would like to exchange it for a et 9000 still in warrenty this is manly because of blind scanning the reciever, the reciever needs to be an excellent condition and fully working like mine. I would like a simple trade no cash involved and posting costs to be met by each other, due to the nature of the trade Iam only Willing to trade with someone with a good track record or feed back of previous sales on the site. If any one is interested please contact me on the thread if you need a photo I can add one when I get home from work thanks.

You have not stated how old your duo is m8 and if you still have original invoice and any warranty left

Surely if there is no invoice there is no warranty?
Personally I don't see them as equal spec but would be prepared to swap my et9000 for the duo and £40
Ive added some photo`s as you can see it an excellent condition you may notice there are no screws don`t worry ive just not put them back in yet,how old is your et 9000 and what condition is it. On the warranty silverfox 0786 told me if there was a problem to come back to him and we have both looked after the vu+ i would like to think it the receiver would be trouble free in the future.

I have had the et9000 for 1 month. It has no warranty because it was not bought from an authorised dealer but is obviously as new and mark free. can add photo if you wish but I assure you it is exactly as it was new only 1 month ago
If you could please at the end of the day we are both trusting each other previous form, i would like to think that my previous sales feedback speaks for itself. I noticed that you have had a few problems with the tuner have you resolved that now

I have and havn't but it is not the receiver. It must be something I am doing as I have two receivers both bought from different places. One is badged clarke-tech and the other x-trend. But I am getting it happen on both. I have flashed a different image to one of them and the problem seems to have gone but I dont think it is the image at fault either. I am thinking it is something to do with my settings and maybe how I get them on there.
It looks nice how does the tuner compare with the the vu+,iam willing to trade with you but as you don`t have a warranty either i can not agree to the £40 unless you trade the xtrend et 9000 instead

I find the tuners about the same but I am no expert really.
why does which receiver make a difference?
If xtrend et 9000 comes with a warranty iam happy to offer you £40 but as the clarke tech et 9000 does not have any warranty i have no come back if it stops working in the future

the way I see it the et9000 is a better spec receiver. Bigger processor for a start. It is also quite a lot newer than your receiver. I feel £40 is fair as both receivers basically have no warranty. If you want the xtrend (which is lees than a week old btw) I would want £70 supplied with the invoice.
Ok i do you a deal i will offer you £60 by paypal and i will take the xtrend can you confirm its the xtrend et9000

sorry m8. Gonna have to insist on it being £70 for the extrend. Only ordered it sunday and was delivered tuesday. Yes it is the extrend et9000 though and if payment was paypal I'm afraid I would not pay fees either m8.
Sorry i can not afford anymore than that ,its only the xtrend i`am interested for the extra cash i think we might have to leave for it for now then but thank for the interest mark_hopley

So are you saying that you can not watch channels that broadcast at symbolrate of 30,000 if this is the case its no good to me can some please confirm before i go any futher thanks

yes it was the case that the et9000 had serious problems tuning into channels with a symbol rate of 30,000 although i am not sure if this has been corrected now.
Ok thanks for the information Phenoix and i can confirm this is correct by googling the issue that its still there, so that being the case sadly i can not continue with this trade as i watch a lot of channels with that symbol rate 30,000. The vu+duo has no such problem so until this issue is fixed the et9000 is not for me but thanks for the offer mark_hopley,Pheniox you might as well close this thread as this is a deal breaker for me thanks
