dreamdroid not working on samsung galaxy s2

hi ,
ive installed dreamdroid on my phone ,
i was able to connect it at home by wifi ,,now i have change the default password ,
im trying to connect to the box remotely now by 3G ,it says connection error ,,
ive enabled log in and put the box uername as root and my password which i changed
but it still says connection error ,,
oh and i have deleted the profile dream800 from it ,
any comments

profile vu+duo
hostname ip ,,192.168.2.**
streaming host name/ip (optional ) left it blank
port 80
enable ssl not ticked
enable login ticked
user root
passworkd ,,,my password

what am i doing wrong here ,,
does dreamdroid work over 3G
will try and check it at home

If you're using the local ip addres (e.g. 192.168.1.12 or whatever), then it won't work. This ip address is just local to yourself. What you will need to do, is setup a dynamic address (e.g. noip), or use your external ip address (whatismyip . com), and forward the ports to your box in the router...

What are you guys using to play media with ?
I tried vplayer which was ok but I don't really want to pay for it, any other option ?

VPlayer is the way forward if you want it to stream, that is what I use. Its the only app that supports the codec. It's defo worth it as its only a few quid and the developers are constantly updating the app.
