Editing Satellites & Transponders With dreamboxedit ?

Hi,

If I wish to edit a settings package such as "catseyes" with dreambox edit can I use dreamboxedit to open the "catseyes" package and just delete the satellites and transponders that I do not want? Or, do I have to also make changes to other files in the "catseyes" package such as satellites.xml etc before uploading to the receiver?

No you can edit whatever you want in dreambox edit and save it and send it over to your box

You might want to delete the unused satellites from your sat.XML file as well, if you do this you wont be able to scan those sats again without downloading a new XML file - really only do it if you done have those sats at all.

im trying to edit transponder details on my box channel list using dreambox edit im using a (vu duo) i can get to the channel list and even open up to edit but when i save the new details it just changes it to something else any ideas guys
i am a bit of a novice with this so not sure if its something im doing

any advice would be great
