Have you ran all updates? As this was updated with one of the drivers, and should be incorporated in the 2.1.4 iirc...

For interest:

20110117
-vfd settings: control scroll properties and symbols (/proc/stb/lcd/*)
-use pip for second tv only video (/proc/stb/vmpeg/1/external)
-ci support fixes
-cardreader fixes
-fan control (enable/disable fan vcc)

Another thing to try ... use oscam ;) Support to be better for nds white cards

yes i've done the update mate one of he first things i did.

Have you copied your CCcam.cfg from your Duo? Cant remember is which card slot is sci0 & sci1.

Tried scanning 28.2?

canthackit
03-06-11, 19:49
Hello Boss

the on screen info it says sci

on the boxkey it says /dev/sci0

Did you copy your CCcam.cfg from the Duo?

canthackit
03-06-11, 19:51
yes Boss i did

Stanman
03-06-11, 19:53
If you press blue and entitlements it will show which slot the card is in.
Bottom is 0 and top is 1. You say 7000 but do you mean ET9000?
I used it with VIX and cccam no problems whatsoever.
Also PF to the ET as it will have new IP address.

Sicilian
03-06-11, 19:54
you tried a different card slot changing sci0 to sci1 in the config?

canthackit
03-06-11, 19:56
OOOOOOOOOOpppps

yes i mean the 9000.

just read this from above, i mean the post above not god :D

/dev/sci0 indicates that you are putting your Sly card in the top slot card reader. /dev/sci1
would be the second slot.

does this apply to the 9000 (got it right this time)

ok card in bottom slot and showing as sci0

Stanman
03-06-11, 20:02
Are you sorted now?

canthackit
03-06-11, 20:05
nope mate just been changing slots top slot dont seem to recognise the card at all.

so it's in the bottom slot (sounds painfull dont it) on /sci0

still got really high ecms.

just felt the top of the box it's scrorching, is this how they run as well?

regards: canthackit

Sicilian
03-06-11, 20:09
if you change the card to sci1 and move the card you need to reboot.

Donnie
03-06-11, 20:10
Just to eliminate other factors bud make sure you # out any F or C lines.
And if needed Oscam really aint that bad.

Stanman
03-06-11, 20:29
You haven't got it over clocked?
Compared to my DUO th ET does give slightly higher ECM times but viewing is absolutely fine.

Sicilian
03-06-11, 20:30
Have you set speed for the card reader?

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 XX XX XX XX
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci0 3580000

canthackit
03-06-11, 20:34
if i'm going to try oscam i'm going to need a really got tut, and a lot of your help :D

but atm everything i've tried has not worked, everything makes no difference i'm still getting at best ecm times of 246 ms.

Donnie
03-06-11, 20:36
I have never tried one of these box's but don't you have a smargo Hackit ?
I am sure the rest of the guys here know if smargos work with this box.

canthackit
03-06-11, 20:36
i used to overclock to 6.8Mhz this was on the Duo never had a problem with that although a while back i did drop it down to 5.5 Mhz and thats' what it is now.

canthackit
03-06-11, 20:39
donnie

yes i was thing along them lines as well aint used it for years now mate:D

now that you can overclock

got to try and remember how to set it up, do you remember the old was it tty orr tts...think i need the tut for that as well ;)

thanks & regards: canthackit

Sicilian
03-06-11, 20:42
With the ecm times at 246 is the picture stable, if it is ignore the ecm time cos from tests I know they're wrong.

Other option is smargo in the rear or Oscam, as Donnie says Oscam is the way to go.

Use oscam from here
http://www.4shared.com/dir/wnyHV50A/VIX_CAMS.html

This version enigma2-plugin-cams-oscam.1.00.4863_1.0_mipsel.ipk

are the drivers in place nowadays or do will still have to load them manually?

are you sure its tty donnie

cant remember the path to them :D

Donnie
03-06-11, 20:59
From memory as I have not used my smargos for a long time, it is tty for OE1.6 and tts for OE1.5

Ok, tested. Imo the ecm times reported by the ET9000 are wrong. Picture is spot on, no glitching/freezing whatsoever.

Top slot: -
BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 XX XX XX XX
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci1 3580000

Bottom slot: -
BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 XX XX XX XX
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci1 3580000

Smago: -
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 XX XX XX XX
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQENCY : /dev/ttyUSB0 6000000

Tested as a client too (we wont talk any further about that).

Tested with CCcam 2.1.3 & 2.2.1.

this is getting crazy i'm in the process of going back to the vix image.

now i cant get the bloody thing to install, it just sits there saying flashing and nothing is happening, i've tried both versions posted here the one with the updated drivers and the one without, and neither will install.

Black Hole went on ok...so what am i doing wrong with VIX?

i don't believe that this image takes 5 minutes to install let alone the 10 mins i've left it for now, this just gets sillier and sillier

i need to get this sorted now before i can even go back to the card problem:mad:

regards: canthackit

Donnie
04-06-11, 08:14
Can't help with the flashing but you need to use the VIX image as the BH one is old and it was known that the drivers were no good for the internal card readers at the time of release.

canthackit
04-06-11, 08:29
ok thanks mate but as the post above say's.

i cant get the bloody thing on there.

i'm in the process of downloading and trying to install yet again and the bleedin' is just sitting there saying "flashing"

about 15 times now mate over the course of a couple of hours.

i've tried the front usb port the rear usb ports, i've formatted the pen everytime i'm on a mac so it was ms-dos fat copied over the et9000 folder with the 4 files, power off, put the usb in the front port, power on, it recognises the VIX image then when it says ready press ok button on the front panel......................
then wait 30 mins while it says "flashing"..................................i'm still waiting it's never going to install.

the only other thing i've just found another usb pen i'm going to try that.

Try loading the factory image on it

Donnie
04-06-11, 09:08
Have you tried flashing with everything else disconected such as sat cable, HDMI, HDD, smagro and anything that can be removed remove.

canthackit
04-06-11, 09:23
ok going to try disconnecting everything to install the vix image if that dont work, i'll try with everything disconnected to install the factory image.

i'm on the point of thinking about asking steffan if there's any possibiltiy of exchanging this box for another Duo, he can only say "No"...............or sod off:D

thanks & regards: canthackit

How to flash here http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?6657-How-to-upgrade-ET9000-via-USB-memory-stick

Format the USB stick FAT32 and make sure the file structure is correct.

canthackit
04-06-11, 09:52

canthackit
04-06-11, 09:54
ok as we speak i've got the clark-tech offcial image on there, i'm now going to try and install the VIX image.

OK, not sure whether the latest image would have the latest bootloader included with it?! So, my suggestion...

1. Format the usb stick fat32. Ensure that there's nothing on there in finder.
2. Shut down the box, then disconnect any other usb sticks connected. When flashing, use the front usb...
3. Extract the file located here (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?6380-Latest-ET9000-Bootloader-and-Drivers-updates&p=48711&viewfull=1#post48711) on to the usb stick, and flash your receiver with this the usual way. Should only take a few seconds iirc. Once that's done, it will reboot back in to the image you have on there. Only needs to be done once, as this overwrites the original bootloader.
4. Format the usb stick same as in 1 above to ensure that it's all clear for the flash.
5. Re-download the ViX image, and extract to usb. Now, reflash with this image, should only take about 3 mins or so...
6. Set up ViX image, and run all online updates

Let us know how it goes...

clark-tech is running ok perfect.

will load the VIX image but infomation is coming through that there might be a problem with the files on here, not definate but maybe, so i'm just waiting for a source from elsewhere.
