i can view bbc red button channels so i thought it should be possible fot s*y.

you can view the channels quite easily and some bouquet packs such as silverfox's has these channels named and logged. other times they will just be named as STREAM followed by a number. however you will not be able to use the red button to activate these channels on any thing but a branded receiver from the service providers.

in that case i am corrected but the principle is exactly the same for the sky red button channels as is for the bbc red button channels.

yes same principle though. that being that you can watch the channels if you know where they are or your using a bouquet with them already cataloged. but you can not access them via the red button with any receiver but a officially branded receiver from the service providers.

If you do a scan rather than put a settings bocquet on you box the sky interactive channels will not appear on your box as they are scanned as data channels. The BBC interactives will apear as STREAM-0 to STREAM-7.
You will need to change the data channels to tv channels in Dreambox Edit or another settings editor after a manual scan. But downloading a bocquet such as Silverfoxes is the way to go

$ky Sport Active 1 ..... up to $ky Sports Active 18

BBC interactive channels are named as :

BBCi 1 ... up to BBCi 7
