Picons in VIX epg

Should picons show up in place of channel names and numbers down the left side of the EPG?
I have loaded picons via a usb stick and they appear in the individual channel banners but I dont get them in the Vix EPG. Looking at the Vix image screen shots, the picons appear. Is there a setting in the EPG of vix 2.1 that enables these?

press menu in epg and you can set use picons and if using PIG set items on view to 5 if no PIG items on view to 8 and they will show
