can you try on a different computer see if you can access it via that ... see if you can get on the webinterface just type the ip address of the box and http port (found in webinterface plugin) into ur browser i.e http:192.168.0.4:80

Ok, I have tried putting in my ip with the http port number( which is 80) into the browser & get the can not display page. I then downloaded the vu tool box on the pc & tried to connect using dreambox editor but get the same result ( failed to connect) i have checked ip again on vu box & i am using the correct numbers. strange that i can not connect on 2 seperate pc's. can't figure it out.

maybe the router, have you forwarded the ports in your router to your boxs ip?
try this software, i use this for my vu duo and solo

bring up a command box and type in telner your box ip
see if you can log in that way, you dont need to forward ports to be able to do this and it will confirm whether or not box is connected and username and password.
