Can I flash my TM800 over a serial cable?

Would it help with the 'flash erase' bug and completely scrub the flash?

you can flash over serial using hyperterminal, it takes a very long time, and due to the way UR has set the install scripts, it still wont erase everything m8

When you reflash the box, it doesn't completely remove everything from the previous image. Digidude has proven this an shown it to TM but as yet they've not done anything about it.

@ Digi, is there anything that I can use to peek inside the flash and scrub certain memory addresses - not that I would know which addresses to scrub anyway, lol

using telnet you could erase whole partitions, i think theres 7 different ones, but, you could end up with a brick that cannot be recovered, i did this a while back to a receiver
