XML auto updater.

Enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-satelliteloader-editor_1.0.r0_mipsel, by mfaraj57, can this plugin auto update your xml file and replace out of date files, if so will it work with the vu+duo and vix image.

I have been using this & it does seem to be working ok with no problems with the VIX image

yeah you just select what satellites you want to update & they are downloaded, it is a very simple plugin.

how do load it on the vu+duo is it usb stick or dbe.

load it to the temp folder via your ftp programme then install manually.

is that any where in the temp folder,then install manually what buttons do press to install.

Blue Button > VIX > IPK Installer

Open up DCC and connect to your box. click on FTP and than in the LHS window the pointed hand and TMP>var, if you cant see it than click on VAR folder than find the file on the RHS and use the arrows in the middle to move it across, and close down DCC.

On the box press blue button and VIX and than IPK installer and it should be in there, highlight and press OK and away you go mate.

just tested this with the Uno and the latest beta VIX image and it works very well indeed.

pheonix does the plugin get the updated xml file and update all outdated satellites without any input from user.

no you go into plugins open this app and select which satellites you want to update the xml for, then hit download. takes a few seconds.

do you have to do a rescan after download.

well thats up to you but theres no real point updating the xml if your not going to use it and do a rescan.
