Rytec is a source of EPG data and the format is XML I am guessing XEPGDB is another format.

If you want a stress free one than my recommnedation is for the OPEN TV on crossepg, have had it on the duo since the current image was released and it has never failed once. I also use only for 28.2E

Hi matey. Thanks for posting in here :)

As stanman says, xepgdb is just another format for loading the epg data. From my experience, it's much faster than rytec. Basically, all the data has already been collated (much like an already created epg.dat file), it's just then added to the epg source data ready to load within crossepg. Whereas xmltv parses each channel and each program, and then adds it to the epg source data.

As for opentv, in my opinion, it's the best for 28.2. It's the data directly from the satellite, not the radiotimes website, which I've found to be crap :p
