View Full Version : local card issue
I've been reading the forum to use my card in a Vu+Duo with VIX 2.0 (plus updates).
I've installed CCcam 2.2.1 just so I can use my card.
The strange thing is that not all the channels clear!
For e.g. Action clears but Thriller does not.
I'm using SilverFox's bouquets.
I've also tried downgrading CCcam to 2.1.4 and I get the same result.
But when I put the card back into my Sly box Thriller works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Had a read of this and I've got the card working with Premium Channels but not all of them? Why should that be? Action works but not Thriller and a few others.

try a rescan that might help
When I use the web interface for the cam and select Thriller I get nok. But when I select Action I get ok. I will try the latest SliverFox settings. Could it be that I need to update satellite.xml?
I've loaded the latest SilverFox settings and still the same.
I've checked the BOXKEY and that is correct. I've also add PASSCODE and still no luck. The channels that don't work are,
Thriller SD & HD
Dram & Romance SD & HD
ScFi And Horror SD & HD
MGM SD & HD
Have you done a rescan? Do the versions in the ALL menu work?
Not done a rescan. From the ALL menu they still do not work.
Will do a rescan now.
Is it best to say YES to "Clear before scan"?
OK. Done a full scan and tried the channels from the ALL menu and still no change.
I've tried using the second slot as well and still the same channels don't clear.
Bloody strange that some premium channels work and others don't.
As far as I know those channels haven't changed frequencies but as a further check download a new sat.xml and try rescan again in case its got corrupted somehow.

OK. Downloaded new xml and done a scan. Still the same.
Also, done a test with a C line with another server and the channels work fine!
So could my card be faulty?
More than double checked BOXKEY. This is so weird!
got be your config file
bouquet and sat are fine
Entitlements are fine as work in original so leaves only cfg
I have a 17 digit serial number. I ignored the first 7 digits and the last one. Entered that in to Windows Calc and then clicked Hex. Took this number (8 digits) and put this in as
BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 AA BB CC DD
Here I'm using the second slot (sci1), I've tried both slots.
Have I missed anything?
I used Dword and DEC and then enter the last 9 digits and hex.
Tried that got the same Hex number.
If the number was wrong then none of the channels would work, right?
Is there any kind of debuging that can be enabled and how to use it?
I've tried creating a new cfg file and still no change.

Might not be relevant in your case but the provider down here made some changes in the ECM where some channels would no longer open with CCcam even though on debug mode it was saying ECM okay.
Since then most people have gone to sbox or oscam :)
To run CCcam in debug mode run it from telnet with the following commands
cd /usr/bin
./CCcam(exact name in /usr/bin) -d 255
also, are you sure that all entitlements have updated ok? Could it be possible that only movies 1 or 2 has updated entitlements, not both 1 & 2???
Is OSCAM available for the Vu+?
How can I check the entitlements?
I'm going to try the card in another Vu+ Duo box and see what happens.
Tried the card in another Vu+DUO with VIX 2.1 and CCcam 2.2.1 and a new cfg. Same thing, even fewer premium channels work!

Showing it's either a config problem or a card problem...
Have you stuck the card back in to the original receiver, and seeing whether those channels work in that receiver?!
OK. Managed some how to get oscam to work, BUT the same channels still do not clear.
There must be an issue with the card.
I'll get it swapped out.
OSCAM looks like a serious bit of kit is there guide on setting it up?
Mine was a quick and dirty config, but I can see the potential!
