How to enable RF in standby and switch off fan on the TM-5402HD

Noticed this has been asked a few times, so thought I'd post and make it a sticky.

Press Menu > Enter pin as 0000
Select System Settings > Front display settings.
Set standby mode to 'show clock', this will enable the RF and scart in standby.
Set Fan control to 'off', to switch off the fan.

What is the purpose of enabling RF in standby? Watch signal on other tv when receiver is on standby??

if the receiver is still decoding, and outputting a picture, is it in standby?

the same thing can be done on all TM receivers by pressing the TV/VCR button (if RF connected to a 2nd room) as this then disables the scart switching signal for the tv its connected to, but keeps sending the picture via the RF output ;)

playing with the buttons, you can also modulate ANY scart signal connected to the VCR scart socket, and send it via RF round the rest of your system in the same way, i used to use it to modulate my CCTV system ;)
