I think fat32 will do and make sure usb is mounted as media/usb.

It has to be FAT32 and as punisher says mount point must be media/usb and not SDB1 otherwise it wont work.
To change the mountpoint blue button>vix>mount manager

i note that fat 32 is good
do have i to fill the stick before mounting ? and before create usb repertory ?
how exactly ?

you are better off mounting it first and making sure its correct path is media/usb then put the picons on in the folder media/usb/picon and i think you should be ok

If you want them on USB then it must be in the root of the USB stick.

Hi,
interesting, I did install the ViX several days ago and during the picon setup I did not have usb option, only hdd and internal memory. I choose the memory as hdd option slows zapping a lot. I'm sure thou that on PLi I had the usb option. Well, usb seems to be most optimal storage for picons so that was strange to me.

Thanks

Latest vix doesnt have picon options, you just put them on ur desired storage medium (preferably usb) and vix will auto detect it. So if placed on usb it will be media/usb/picon. Make sure it isnt stored on hdd or flash just 1 storage

it must be during the picon download I've been given options as described above.
Thanks

aah yeh if you download from feeds then it only gives hdd and flash options, not sure why but yeh just transfer them from hdd to usb and you should be fine. i meant the steps if you were transfering them on ur pc

not big deal but strange that the usb will not show up as an option.
Bit off topic, I know I can easy move the whole directory with the content to usb using ftp or samba but how can I do this via telnet? will mv /picon /media/usb do the job?

Thanks

Is this what you are after?

If so on the VU press EPG button, on ET guide and than when you are on the first screen shot with the programmes press meu and change the entry that says items per page to 5

There is no practical difference between VIX and cool for the end user, he will have to do as advised to get it working.
