from what i can see this dish will only move from east to west it does not have any up and down movement will that affect what satellites i can recive and is it worth buying a v box (im in birmingham uk ) or am i better off just getting another dish and motor thanks in advance for any help or advice

i'd honestly buy a new motor at the very least. for example our sponsor sells the technomate tm2600 for £39.25

yea i looked at them but the only prob is the dish is 1m and there doesnt seem any way to fit the dish to the motor as its just a square plate and 4 bolts on the back of dish all trial n error at the mo lol thanks for your sugestion tho

the dish is the most important part of the setup in my opinion, and it is worth doing it rite first time with the best you can afford. i would not in a million years use that dish or motor, i would personally buy new.

That channel master dish is meant for a pole mount and actuator motor, not suitable for a diseqc motor.

you need to set your dish on high place upon your floor and then start the motor i hope it will give you a lot of tv channels and even i am also using this dish and i am very happy because all the pakistanis and other world channels are available upon this dish

I have a channel master, controlled via a V box, with a 36v motor,

the square plate fits to the back of the dish, ( and I think your dish is a 1.2 mtr ) and really needs a 36v motor, the elivation of the dish is controlled via the bolts connecting to the plate, a good motor will cost around £200, and to get the best from the dish, a feed horn/quality lnb is worth having,

I will try and post a few photos of the critical componants later

....the motor looks like a htoh jaeger 1224

Unless it is a very early model (pre 1990's) the motor is not a Jaeger 1224 as it looks quite a bit different to the 1224's that have been sold for a good few years.

Although I am not sure what make it is, it is definitely a 36 volt motor with H to H capability judging by the pictures.
