Hi,
I have a DE 1.3.2 image installed.
I used the AddOns manager to install the picons for both 28E and 19E.
I can see the picons on 19E channels, but never managed to get it working for 28E channels
The picons set is HD Picon4U 28E USB.

I have no hard disk installed yet. Can someone help?

Cheers,
One

r u installing in a usb or the device itself

It automatically installs to /media/usb/picon folder. Whereas I see my usb actually mapped to /media/hdd folder.

this is correct it will install on /media/usb/picon as long as you have a usb connected.
media/hdd is the device itself.

i would suggest to try a different pack and see how it goes
or
copy the images from media/usb/picon into /media/cf/picon

have a look here too

None of the options worked. This is bugging me really. Also I guess that, in general the DE image does not support icons in the Graphical EPG, right?

just get a cheap small usb key
that's what i did, and installing via plugin page to usb worked like a charm

I have no issues with the USB stick itself.
And where did you download the picons from the plugin page from? I can only download from the Addons screen.

Try VTI image, i beleive it's the best right now after OpenPLI, you have all the skins and plugins you ever need and it's fast.

All you need to do with the DE1.3.2 image is create a directory in the usb stick called picon

Then transfer your picons into that directory. What you have make sure is the the picons are named with the correct channel reference numbers as per your bouquets.

Thanks for all the inputs, unfortunately none of the options worked. :(
I will check other options.

Problem Solution:
Apparently on doing an 'Automatic scan', the service reference information of channels do not really match with the information of the picon (PNG) files.
I am guessing that the PNG files are the ones which need the update (even though I took the latest ones).

For example:
The original name of the PNG file for Discovery HD was:
1_0_86_EDB_7F0_2_11A0000_0_0_0.png
Whereas on checking the channel information [Menu->Information->Service], by looking at the Service Reference, I figured out that the name should be something like this:
1_0_86_EDB_7F0_2_11C0000_0_0_0.png

After renaming the picons were visible without issues.
