trying to get epg

I have successfully set up a mount from my dm500 to my vu+ Duo to enable me to get full epg on the dm500. Using the openpli image for the dm500 I have downloaded and installed the sqlite plugin and xmltv import plugin. I have then set it up to download the epg via the mount onto the vu+duo but when I try to retreive the epg it shows up retreiving file for about 30 secs but doesn't actually retreive anything and then it stops.

Any ideas what is wrong with this please?

The open PLI image already comes with the Rytec.epg. Why create a mount to your VU duo when you can just enable the rytec epg and update fromm the web
