7198 What is the WEBTV tab used for? In all the browsers ive tried it says theirs a missing codec.

it opens a popup window which allows you to stream from your reciever any channel from your bouquet

Is there any way to get WebTV to work from outside the LAN?

if you setup a dyndns setup like you would for streaming on ur mobile .... test.dyndns.org:80. that would take you to your webinterface and you can stream webtv via that, but again you need a decent upload speed to do this as it is the same as streaming to your mobile outside the network

Like I said tho, every browser I try it on gives me an unknown codec error. Is it Flash (and my browsers are crap) or is it an obscure codec ?

hmmm you got windows media and vlc media player installed? they the only things i can think of, and i think pheonix posted on this forum K-Lite Codec Pack v7 that has pretty much every codec needed but other than that im not sure what else could be needed

VLC player works perfectly, I just made it the default player on my PC so when I click a TV channel or a recorded TV program VLC pops up and plays it.
