Hello everyone. My VU+ duo arrives on Tuesday (curse the bank holiday!)
This is my first bash with a linux STB and I'm not going to have much time to get it set up. As a result I'm trying to preplan the steps I'm going to need when it arrives. I was hoping you guys could look over the plan and let me know where I'm likely to come a cropper.
I have a fixed sky dish. My usb is already loaded with openPLI
Plug in usb
Box on
Box reboot remove key
Go through setup choose astra 28 E sat or similar
- should have FTA (and presumably all sky chans too, just won’t be able to watch)
Connect to router, give it fixed IP
Install cccam through setting/plugins type menu
Set default cam to cccam
Port forward router on port 12000
ftp d/l var/etc/ccam.cfg (no user/pass on ftp? prefer to do it with an ftp client if poss)
Edit
ftp u/l var/etc/ccam.cfg
Reboot
Cross fingers
After that i would want to look at bouquets etc for better channel organisation, but that stuff can wait
