a m8 has given me his spiderbox to setup for him
whats the latest firmware for this box,and will he still get gift.(can i upgrade straight to box from internet)
not used to this box as have the vu

The gift is offline for a couple of weeks.

for now load last patch then the last softcam that all you can do as above gift and server+ will be of line for min 2 weeks

sorry the internet upgrade is not a working feature.
the latest patch for 9000 is from 11/2-11 called tnt fix patch.
unzip it put it on a usb stick put usb stick in box ,,choose s/w only( not all data).
when installed press 1111 on remote and then you can go in to network and do your settings,,and as said here earlier ,,gift is off for a couple of weeks.
if you load a softcamfile,,,go to key edit and set ucas to on.

i was wanting to update it as the box is losing connection to the internet now and again(sometimes every 10 mins or so) and so lose picture and v annoying while watching football.
tried tnt fix but still the same.
any ideas how i can fix

what you mean mate box losing connection?
you can't connect to internet via server + as its down

indeed it is as the so called gift is nothing more than a dodgy CS server.

seems ok now when i turned a few options off,must have been conflicting with it
