I want to make script or a plugin to download a .tar.gz file extract it to set location is this possible on the with 2.0.3?

PPanel xml script?

Or would I have to make a plugin to do it?

Its no secret I want to use Rats channel updater on this box from the remote instead of using DBE to transfer each time.

maybe you should ask the owner of the sever the file is on if its ok to do this before you proceed. It would be unfair to create traffic to the sever without permision.

I would need to create the script first to work on a test file on my own server and if it works then I ask permission and point it to the correct channel list but first need to know how to go about it and if ppanel work on vix 2.0.3 or how to create a plugin to do the job.

also why not ask digidude for help ?. i know his own script ( used in rats pp panel ) was created as a result of work done by rossi2000 and others
