ok first please do not post in the sky uk new channels thread again. it is only for updates.

now as for CH 4 HD it has moved frequency as in april it will be moving to freesat. as for the frequency it now occupies i am not sure as i dont have a E2 box to do the scan needed and none of the frequency sites have it yet either.

CH 4 HD is now broadcasting on 12.606 from what i have heard, although there is no epg etc for it yet.

there is a problem with c4hd. if i check signal strength on this hd channel i see it at approx 50% and i do get break-up. all other hd channels are between 75 and 90%. i've played with lnb but no joy. just a weak signal

where are you located ? as there is no problem. this channel has moved to a freesat transponder and as a result it has a much tighter footprint meaning people outside of the uk may no longer receive the channel without moving to a bigger dish.

i have lost this channel tonight just running a full scan on astra 28.2 now

lost it today too, a rescan found it on 12.606.650

EPG is currently wrong though.

I have rescanned on the vu and could not pick up Ch 4 HD!

I also tested on my Sky + box and it says that no satellite signal is being received! Can anyone else pick this channel up on a Sky box?

after scanning, have you gone to the Last Scanned bouquet & picked CH4 HD from there?

Yep sure have.

It shows up as 12606 v3/4 28250 but does not work! also does not work on sky hd box! has a low signal level. i only use a sky mini dish do you think i need to change it for a larger one? South east

Working now after a rescan you will need to swap it around in your bouquet

yes its working fine on my sky box

its now on a tighter beam so non uk residents will need a bigger dish to get it.

Hi

I've had to do a full rescan on my Vu+ Duo to find Channel 4 HD only have a 52% signal reading with a 1.1 mtr Dish. Itv1 HD is at 90%. The EPG is that of Zee Tv, hope Rytec can sort this out.

thanks phoenix. have a standard sky mesh dish. based in irish midlands so this would explain why signal strength is poor. overall quality of reception is not bad but it does freeze every so oten
