Hi Guys,

I am currently on ViX 1.3 and wanting to upgrade to ViX 2.0 and have been following the USB Flashing Tut, but not having any joy with the flashing.

I am using the same USB stick I used in the past and kept the folders as required (vuplus/duo), but still nothing.

The receiver boots straight into normal mode rather than the firmware update process.

Any ideas please as to why this would be the case and also is there an option to update via FTP?

Regards

have you removed any USB drives plugged in at the back?

Re-format the USB stick FAT32 too.

I don't have any USB drives, but I do have an internal HDD. Would this need to be disconnected too?

Re-format the USB stick FAT32 too.

Tried that too mate, but still no joy.

Is there a way of doing it via FTP?

I really do not fancy taking out my old PC to use a Null Modem Lead.

You only need to disconnect the HDD if you have had a bad flash or loping problems

i would try a diffrent USB stick if you have one and try downloading the image again i case the file is corrupt
