View Full Version : VU+ USB Backup.
Hi, Would like to keep a backup of my settings on a spare usb stick, using DCC i have transfered backup to desktop and now have a file Enigma2 settings backup.tar inside i have a folder ECT, inside is Network/Enigma2/WPA_Sipplic.../Resolv.conf/Hostname,now do i put ECT file in a new folder named Vulplus/Duo and use the front usb port as if i was doing a reflash to backup my settings.
Hi Blu-ray,
I'm not sure what exactly you are asking..
Do you want to create a backup of your current Vu Duo and keep it safe in case you want to re-flash at a later date?
Yes keep on a spare usb stick, thanks.
Yes using the Vix 2.0.3 image.
if you backup using the image manager, press menu when in image manager, select usb stick and then create new backup
OK done that but it gives no option to backup to USB just hdd.
is the usb mounted correctly, when in image manager if you press menu if all is setup properly then you should have usb stick as an option
Picons and epg are on usb and mounted but still no option for usb.
what locations do you have when in image manager and you press menu?
OK punisher sorted forgot to press menu when in image manager, thanks
lol no probz mate
OK now do i make a new folder named Vulplus/Duo and put on a usb stick ready to flash.
no, its should already be on the usb stick if you have just made a backup on it.
EDIT: i think you need a plugin to download to create nfi/usb backups of it, im not sure
as far as im aware the backup that you have created on usb is good to use if you flash vix again from scratch then you can restore via the usb backup that you created
Will it read from usb stick without making a Vulplus/Duo folder to put it in.
sorry if you read above post i edited
