I could do with a little help with softcams, I have downloaded all available and tried them all. But what do they all do, I understand what CCam does, but do not know how to use it yet, but the others I am in the dark. are they specfic for satellites, or packages.

I know with N3 there is not much left, but 19e, and 1w should still have a few, how do I go about getting them?

Any help for this new dummy would be appresiated :confused:

I've moved you post into the correct section ;)

Right CCcam is prob the most used/comman cam. It can be used with genuine subscription cards, although some cards need Oscam to serve to CCcam. Or CCcam can be used to connect to a cardsharing server (only basic config talk here though for card sharing, see the rules, google is your friend).

The main packages on 13,19 and 28 need a valid subscription or cardshare (google is your friend for the latter). If you have a genuine card and need help getting it going let us know.

Thanks for the link. Have tried to copy file by both telnet and FTP, but I am getting a password request on both, anyone help on this?

Hi thanks for the quick reply, did manage to find the logon in the end. Telnet using Putty, FTP using Cute FTP. I have followed the instructions and have put the file in var directory, but do you know how to install this adon in the menu?

The following menu options are available:

Red Preview - first look briefly, from when the keys are on the server :-)
(RB and Minicats updates can be retrieved)
Blue SatAngels KeyUpdate - Update of the popular Emu Key files incl. each single File
Green Minicats KeyUpdate - Update of the popular Emu Key files incl. each single File
1. constant.cw Delete - deletes the constant.cw from the
Key folder (may be important in connection with CS)
2. Plugin Update - here you can, if necessary, update the plugin online
3. Uninstall plugin - who dosn't like it, just simply remove it again

Copy SatAngels_KeyUpdater_Vu+_1.3.tar.gz to /var/tmp
and install it manually via the menu.

Where this is not possible:
Copy SatAngels_KeyUpdater_Vu+_1.3.tar.gz to /tmp,
log in via telnet to the box,
change with "cd /tmp to the folder and tipe (without "")
"tar -xzvf SatAngels_KeyUpdater_Vu+_1.3.tar.gz -C /" an press enter

but do you know how to install this adon in the menu?

Can only be installed via menu if using VTI, all other images require Telnet install.

Thanks for that, have been looking for it in my PLI image. I have now installed it on PLI via telnet, but can not find it in the menu or setup, how do I get access to this addon?

Have you re-booted after installing the plugin via telnet? You should see it in the Addons lift or when you press the blue button in the extensions list. I ran the telnet and the script ran without any errors, and I did a reboot. Have checked ext list and cannot see any ref to satangel, unless it has another name, there is a turboxplugins?

I am begining to think it may be better to install VTI, have a backup of my channel list on dreamset but would like to have a backup of motor settings is there an easy way to transfer PLI settings to VTI?

Your help is appresiated.

I took the long road and installed satangel via the menu, but all is now working. I dont know why I could not get this plugin on the PLI image, anyhow VTI seems very good and will stick with it for a while.
