View Full Version : Problem with image backup and restore in ET9000

I have made image backup in OpenPLI so I can try VIX image and restore to OpenPLI after. When I tried VIX I also made an backup of my VIX image.

The problem is that when I try to flash the ET9000 with the backup image it only results in green screen and "ready" in the display. I tried both my OpenPLI backup and VIX backup. Same result. Seems like the backup is corrupt. Image downloaded from this forum works ok so my ET9000 works again. I also know somebody else with exactly the same problem.

This works wery well in VU+DUO and makes it a dream to test other images.

Could it be related to the bootloader not accepting larg image ? It would make sense as an image backup will be larger.

how big are the bin files ?

how big are the bin files ?

The sizes are :

boot.bin 1 KB
imageversion 1 KB
kernel.bin 4096 KB
noforce 1 KB
rootfs.bin 69259 KB

did you update the bootloader ?

you need to flash just like you would a image

I had the same problem as Bobben, and after updating the bootloader, it works fine to restore large images.

I have updated the bootloader and now it works without any problem :)

glad to here, this one of the bugs i found and debugged for CT when i was developing the ViX image ;).
