Folks,
Quick question for those here in the know
Can a Triax MultiBlock be modded to allow a centrally mounted LNB?
And if it can, any idea where to find a decent guide?

I currently have a TD88 with a 10degree Flexiblock and 2 LNB's giving me 13' and 19'
with the dish centred on 16'.

What I'd like to achieve is a spread of 5 LNBs with ,13',16'.19.2' and 28.2 and a 5th LNB at either 9' or 23.5
This is inside the claimed 20' spread of the Triax multiblock but my concern is that the LNB for 16' will need to be centrally mounted and this doesn't appear possible without modifying the bracket?
Anyone here have advice or experience of similar?
Any suggestions appreciated ;)

u need the multi connect for triakx or even the inverto as i got

sponser sells them

you will if you want 23 instead of 9 to have the prime focus of the dish at 19.2 if you wish to use 9 then you will have to centre the dish at 16

use dish poiner to get your combined lnb elevation

Hi Silverfox,
I already have a Triax Multiblock (this type http://www.******.com/products/Triax-Multi-Block-Feedholder-for-4-LNBs.html)
But as this doesn't seem to allow for a centrally mounted LNB(Esp if my prime focus is 16e)
I'd like to know if theres a way to modify it to allow a central LNB?

put yr 5 lnbs on to the multi bracket pacing them as they need to be

then put it on the dish and move dish to get the focuus for the lnb thats most central to the dish and all rest should fall inline

Hi Folks,
I've finished off with my modifications of the Triax MultiBlock for reception of 9e,13e,16e at prime focus, 19.2e, 23.5e and 28.2e.

Following advice given by Watty over @
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=622 regarding not only flipping the bar over to allow a higher angle on the arm, but also redrilling the bar to allow a further East/West Offset which is particularly useful in the west of Ireland ;)
The amount of east/west offset needed can be seen from the attached pics.
I redrilled @50mm off centre and it allows 28.2 to come in at even this far offset at 80%SNR

I had to use an Inverto Multiconnect at 16e and an ALPS at 19.2e to ensure I had enough space to get in the LNB at 16e and over all I must say I am happy with the result.
I'm getting good levels across all Sats and pulling in Tring at @50%SNR ;-)
But I'm hoping to get this up with some elevation tweaking ;)

Thanks :D
And not as long as I thought it would! The Satfinder on the VuDuo is very handy, and I already had the orbital positions at 13e and 19e on the flexiblock I used previously, So I marked them and transposed to the new bar ;) and the rest was an afternoon of 'slide, check then skew' :P

nice work m8, no waiting for a motor to move for you :)

Nice work that, bet it was a right mission to setup.

It wasn't too bad actually! An afternoons fiddling ;)
The only sat giving issues is 16'e, I'm having probs getting SNR above 52% even at prime focus.
My levels across all sats are 9'e=60%SNR; 13'e=85%; 16'e=48%; 19.2'e=85%; 23.5'e=70%(Canaal Digital TPs are up at 90% tho) 28.2'e= 75%.
I'm getting plenty of trouble on the 11283tp on 16e ;) That said Digital ALB seems fine....But I'll get it sorted.....
I think I may just need an elevation tweak and hopefully that will get me a decent lock on 16e rather than the hit and miss I have now

Folks,
I'm thinking that with 6 LNBs on the arm that I will need some bracing wire or a support to prevent sag.
Does anyone have any ideas how best to go about this?
Is it a case of using high tensile line? Or is there a kit to use?
Thanks in advance :-)

The triax dish is quite a beast, so i think youd be alright with regards to the LNB arm sagging, but, in hot weather, then the sudden cooling in the evenings, especially if your dish is obscured by late afternoon / eraly evening shadows, could cause the elevation mount to contract slightly in the late summer as it cools, and could cause the whole dish to drop slightly, unlikley, but dependant on dish location, is a possibility
