Why not fit an internal HDD?

the fear of over heating and affecting the receiver. plus i might want to use it with my pc too. any suggestions?

Well if you buy a 5400 RPM not a 7200RPM that would not be a problem with heat

You won't get over heating problems with the duo due to a hdd being fitted , you can also easily link the vu hdd to you pc.

I have a Samsung EcoGreen F2 5400rpm 1TB Hard Drive coming this week due to noise issues , it comes highly recommended for use with the duo ,supposed to run cool and quiet.
