hi

after sorting out a few problems, i've just tried to download Rytec epd update and getting Zero results on all sats.

so is it as the title says, and the site or watever down again.

it went down yesterday, it seems like it happens on weekends, and rytec cannot contact the hosts untill a monday from what ive read

Same here, if you tried to download manually, you get the Document not found or missing link. message so download site definately down.

i use satmate for 28.2 and 13.0 it's the same result it dont matter wether it's rytec or satmate.

Is Rytec down today or is just me. I can't seem to update epg by cross epg or by ryvix.

CrossEPG was fine updated this morning no problem, can say on rytec as never used them, try DL CE manually or for that matter Rytec.

CrossEPG worked fine for me when updating UK and ITA as I use OpenTV as the provider. But I use Rytec for others. Manual didn't work either.

cant connect to rytec, just loaded BH 1.6 "connection failed"

sure it's the server and not my connection.

I get the same too. If you try and manually download it form:
http://www.xmltvepg.be/uk/epg.dat.gz you get 404 page not found. Something wrong on server end.

Link taken from epgproviders.cfg file.

I am also having problems was working fine and have not changed anything it will not update the nordic packages or sky uk.
Seems strange that if it was a sever problem more people are not reporting it.
I am using the latest Vix image for the Vu duo with all the updates hope someone has an answer because the wife is driving me nuts

When I try to download the EPG it gets to 7% then "Download fail", Tried a manual download on my pc and I get Download Bandwidth exceeded.

the rytec downloader does use a lot of bandwidth, i host the files on one of my servers, and they take a battering of around 35-40Gb a week.

some images use a randomiser to choose one of the 7 or 8 download locations, and some just use the first one in the list, try one of the others m8, as ive just checked my server, and thats hosting and running fine with them

I am having problems updating cross epg on rytec. Got vti image. Its beem fine till couple of days ago how strange .

Crossepg will also use an automatic sourcelist updater which is linked to me rytec.be and from then it will be possible to manual update the sourcelist via menu in crossepg.
Just give it a few days and it will work better.

Hi, i use dreamelite pheonix edition, i use the inbuilt epg , and use Rytec_uk to download epg it gets epg from http://www.*****************.net/ryte...SKYUK,ext_dat] but seems to be down ?

never really looked into this as i use crossepg opentv and it always works. never really understood what opentv is. could someone explain where the opentv epg is pulled from. it is obviously not from rytec as it is currently working fine while rytec are having problems. thanks

its epg from online source so can use blackhole image built in epg, and no need to use usb or hdd to store epg, crossepg using opentv is much better as it gets source from dish so never goes down but need usb or hdd to store epg as it takes me memory. regards
