Weak transponders on 28.2E or misaligned dish?

I have a vu+ duo, with a 80-85cm dish (unsure exact size), London area.

I am experiencing some weak transponders on 28.2, channels such as BBC news with a SNR oscillating between 23-28. Strangely enough, if I give the dish a little nudge using Fine positioner movement (East by a couple of short nudges), situation gets a bit better. On the other hand, quite a few 28.2E channels have a decentish SNR of 40-45.

Asta 19e is fine for example, with SNR above 70%. 13e is also very fine.

2 questions:

1) Is it normal for 28.2E to have a much weaker SNR than ASTEa 19e? What should be a good SNR on a well aligned dish for 28.2E weakish transponders on a vu+ duo? 80cm dish/ bogue standard LNB/South East area.

2) I have a strong feeling my dish has probably been installed sligthly misaligned (hence the two nudges helping a bit), but how can I make my dish remember the right position for this specific satellite, as I use USALS?

well im in derby and i have sly mini dish the bog standard one, and i get snr of 32% on sky sports 1 lol and i dont get any problems. the thing is no reciever gives you an exact true reading of snr, you kinda just have to go with it and aslong as there is no pixelation or anything you should be fine.

im sure with the dish size you have, you should not be dropping as low as 25% maybe alignment issues

Can you access the dish to tweek the dish up then down then left then right to see if the signal gets better if it gets better then the dish is setup wrong m8.

1 meter dish in durham north east. sky sports 1 82%

85cm dish here in East Mids, (about 30 miles from Punisher at a guess), and I get 79% on Sky Sports 1...

I would say on an 85cm dish, the minimum you should get is around 50%... Put the dish back on 0.8w, and reset. Skew/adjust to ensure you get maximum signal. If you still have really bad signal when going to 30w/28e, then it is really badly aligned...

pooface where abouts are ya in EM? its raining and my signal has dropped to 23% :( gotta keep goin outside to sort it out n drenched

When the weather gets better, will need to get someone to help me physically re-align the dish (quite high). Wish I knew a decent installer in east london...
