Hi guys,

I am an installer in the midlands and I have had a strange problem yesterday that has baffled me senseless.

I fitted a triax TD88 dish with the monoblock LNB holder for 13, 19.2 and 23.5. I was surprised at how easy it was to setup by simply following the instructions and measurements correctly. 13 and 19.2 are working absolutely fine but 23.5 has problems even though I can see a really good level signal which is definitely coming from 23.5.

The customers documentation of his Dutch services as well as Lyngsat / King of Sat state that there is a signal at 11914 Horizontal and its just not there at all. Second to this if I physically turn the LNB through 90 degrees in the holder I can see that signal but obviusly cannot use it as te configuration is then wrong. I tried and different LNB just in case it was a faulty LNB but no job...

Any inspiration from you all would be sincerely appreciated.

Regards

Sicilian

What receiver are you using?

The customer has a twin tuner topfield box, not sure of the exact model number...

I have done some further testing here at the yard which has revealed some seriously weird results.

With an 80cm dish, a quattro LNB and a small multisiwtch I am able to see the desired incoming horizontal high band signal but when plugged into the mutliswitch it is not switching up the voltage to get the horizontal signal. This is exactly what was happening with two separate LNB's down at the customers house. I am questioning my spectrum analyser now, but this does not explain why the customer has these missing channels.
