Hi All,

I have is OCTAGON SF8008 S2X TWIN 4K UHD 2x DVB-S2X in my home in Spain just South of Alicante, it is attached to a 1.9M Prime Focus dish. In October 2022, the transponder frequency 12226 H no longer pulled in C4 HD N.Ireland, Admin Huevos gave me a fix for this which worked very well, last December I noticed that this transponder was working again and I could receive CH4 HD and also the new channel SkyMix HD as well. About 5 weeks about again the transponder stopped working again, I called out a few local companies in case my dish or LNB had moved, both companies said that when they attached there equipment that this frequency was for some strange reason transmitting from 28.5 instead of 28.2. Personally I found this hard to believe until a friend of mine in a small town close to me said he was able to add 28.5 to his box and when he scanned it he did indeed receive the missing channels. My question is, is it possible for me to add 28.5 to the OpenVix software just to see for myself that it is actually the case.

Thanks in Advance for any tips or info.

It is called Costa Blanca bullshˇt.
The truth is UK beam hi-band is almost impossible where you are even on a 2.4m dish.

What town are you in?

The C4HD on 11127 is an easy catch.

Maybe you need a custom file for ABM so you select channels from the correct transponders.

Also, you are using a fixed dish so fiddling with satellites.xml is not going to change anything.

I do believe your right lol, I live in Rojales, yes over the years I have noticed that some channels have disappeared, the 2 frequencies that I cant get at all are 12226 H and 12168 V, I have intermittent problems with 12129 V which works great when the sun shines lol. Probably will get worse in the next few years as everything seems to be moving to IPTV based steaming and the day of the dish will come to an end. Thanks for the input.
