The titles for F1 broadcasts on Channel 4 on Saturdays and Sundays are similar with the Saturday title referring to 'Qualifying' and the Sunday title referring to 'Highlights'. In addition to those differences, each race weekend includes the location of that race, this weekend being Singapore.

How is it possible to set just one AutoTimer to catch each broadcast please?

Go to the EPG and find the F1 qualifying

Press Blue to add an autotimer

On the screen that appears untick "exact match", untick "match timespan" and untick "Only on Weekday"

65643

Press OK (green to save)

In the next screen edit it so that

Descritpion = F1 (Highlight the description option and press the "text" button on the remote for a more friendly text editor)
Match Title = F1
Search type = partial match

65642

You now have an autotimer that will just check in the EPG for F1 anywhere in the program title.

It will find qualifying and race highlights and create two separate timers for recording.

edit 1
This autotimer will also find all the F1 qualifying and F1 race highlights (or full race in the case of the UK race) for all future races (as long as they all have F1 in the title - as they have done for many years). You will also get the occasional F1 sprint qualifying races.

edit2
If you have already set an autotimer it may be simpler to delete it and start again. Go to menu/timers/autotimers highlight the autotimer and press yellow to delete it. VERY IMPORTANT now press green to save to tell your box that you are saving the fact that you have just deleted the autotimer.

That autotimer will only identify the qualifying session and not the race. The previous races have used "F1 Dutch GP Qualifying Highlights" and "F1 Dutch Grand Prix Highlights"
The only common factor for all races this year (qualifying and the actual race) has been F1 in the program title and the word highlights. Highlights is too general to be used as a search term in this context.

An autotimer just searching for F1 in the title is unlikely to produce any false timers on the Free To Air (FTA) channels and for me hasn't missed and of the qualify sessions nor any of the races. Searching for GP is going to miss Grand Prix.

@adm - correct! I just use F1 for my autotimer and never miss a single event on C4. If you have access to the Sky channels (I don't), then you will get lots of duplicate hits. Works perfect on FTA.

Just make sure that you now have two F1 timers in menu/timers/timers

The autotimer just searches the EPG and when a program meets the search criteria a timer is created. It is the timer that triggers the recording (and not the autotimer)

Post back if you don't see a timer for the qualifying and the race.
