meoboot on openpli

how do you install meoboot on the open pli image?

formated usb stick put meoboot on ,put stick in front usb slot gone to plugins press green button but still don`t see option for installing meoboot , what am i doing wrong using open pli image

I'm pretty sure this would work, but cant test right now as wife is hogging the Duo :mad:

Extract the rar file. You should end up with a meoboot_096_vu.tar.gz

FTP this file to /tmp

Then telnet to your receiver and use the following commands: -

cd /tmp
tar -xzvf meoboot_096_vu.tar.gz -C /

Then re-boot the Duo. Meoboot should now be in the plugins menu and you can follow this guide http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/showthread.php?504-Quick-guide-to-Multiboot-your-VU-with-Meoboot-and-USB-stick

Like I said, should work, but I cant test right now, missus wont let me near the Duo :mad:

I could not get it to work on the pli image.

Just had a play around with meoboot on openpli, managed to get it installed and installed an image onto the usb, but could not get it to boot from the usb image. I'll try barry allen when i get a chance.

BA works but you have to config every image over and over again if you have more, MeoBoot paste configs into evey image you want to use.

Have you managed to get meoboot to boot from image installed in the USB. I selected to boot from USB image, but just kept booting from flash.

Yes i have tried but it was installed but cant be seen, why i dont know must be a bug?
