Hoi, I reed on other forum (dutch) that all support for VU+ product will be stopped due to blackhole an Vu not supporting anymore.Is this true or a hoax ?? They also mention NOT to buy anymore VU products

It depends on what people mean by support. There may no longer be newer boxes from Vu based on broadcom chips. There are commercial reasons for this.

Most image teams will continue to make images for them provided there are no driver changes required and their resources allow. ATV still build images for the original Solo. Yes it is a lot slower compared to modern boxes and will need a swap file, but fine for viewing TV. The VU boxes are fine, but a bit more expensive compared to the competitors.

You pick a box based on:
The hardware capabilities
Your preferred distro making images for it
Manufacturer providing driver updates if/when required.
