sf8008 wont respond to remote control.

My receiver stopped responding to the remote after I upgraded to the latest openpli image. Now Im stuck with a recveiver I cant use. I have tried a reflash but when I get to the screen which you choose what you want to do, I cant select anything. I bought a new remote thinking this might be the issue but to no avail.

im afraid I cant do anything. the issue started as if the box had a mind of its own. as if buttons were pressed randomly. Thats why i got a new remote and took batteries out of the other one. The remote was working somewhat at that stage. I downloaded an iomage from the feeds and now im stuck.
