Hi all

Just a newbie here looking to do my due diligence in research before purchases. Would appreciate any feedback?

Current setup:

- Humax HDR-1100S
- HDHomeRun Duo

Looking to replace the above with a single box just for Freesat services, connected to a living room TV with the ability to watch/record channels from 3 other TVs around the house.

The Humax is currently our main device, however, have always found it pretty sluggish and now that the unit appears to be failing, research led me here after discovering that main-stream Freesat receiver options are now somewhat limited! Currently connected to what appears to be a typical Sky/Oval type dish, LNB looks like a Quad with 4 connections (2 connected).

The HDHomeRun was more of an experiment for connecting to Plex (mixed success) and using the HDHomeRun application on Roku/Shield devices, so quite happy to drop if I can utilise satellite tuners from single box (Plex or Kodi clients?).

Initially was looking at Zgemma H7S, but believe this may limit the number of simultaneous viewing/recording across the household (and DVB-C/T2 tuner would be redundant). Would the following be a better fit?

- Gigablue UHD Quad 4K UHD 2xDVB-S2X FBC
- GT-Sat GT-S1DCSS24 SCR/dCSS Single Cable Unicable II LNB SCR24 with 1x Legacy Outputs
- GT-Sat GT-SP21 2 Way Satellite Splitter 5-2400MHz DC Pass Suitable for Unicable
- 40mm LNB holder/adaptor collar

Many thanks in advance..

Looks like you have done your research very well.

The Enigma2 Kodi plugin will interact with all Enigma2 receivers. There isn't much of guides on this to allow people to just use their firesticks or android devices interact with the box
The HRTuner plugin will work with all Enigma2 receivers. This will apply to all tuners on receiver, not just the satellite ones. I am guessing you have read this already:

Based on a response from Twol, the GB UE 4K will be a more economic purchase compared to GB Quad 4K, unless you need the slightly larger front panel display or hdmi in
