As the Movie Browser Plugin has now been updated to support PY3 (https://www.linuxsat-support.com/thread/26897-movie-browser/?pageNo=5), would it not be a good option to optimize it and to add it as a default plugin into ViX 6.3. I guess it is one of the most beautiful movie selector and would be a perfect companion plugin to ViX. Some optimization must be done to support FHD, now if FHD Support is selected, the skin is "zoomed" and you will not see your status bar.

Unless Kiddac, decides to support it for good, really don't see this as a default plugin............. as he points out this (like many of the plugins, I have looked at) repeats code sections and is probably like a ball of spaghetti inside.

And to make a new "Movie Browser" plugin? I mean, there is nothing similar available.

Movie Browser is alive again, thanks to twol, lululla and kiddac: https://www.linuxsat-support.com/thread/26897-movie-browser/?postID=697961#post697961

Git repository: https://github.com/Belfagor2005/MovieBrowser

Use it! As more people will use it, more support interest will grow :-)

I am interested to test it on my old VU+ Solo2 machine. How can I install it? In the Git repository I cannot find an *.ipk.

Whose repo is that?

Lululla - an Italian .... the plugin is getting there, but (lots of changes to the original spaghetti - especially skins) but still some issues.

Just copy the content via FTP in the plugin directory /moviebrowser

Downloaded zip file, exported and posted it to right place. After rebooting the box it is up an running. Will play around with it and report on my experience.

Hello,

I tested the plugin and it is not working well in Finland. The problem is that recorded movies have names like "Subleffa: Run All Night (16)", "Elokuva: Homefront (16)" etc.
I can't find a place where ignore words are defined (like at IMDb).

Which words did you want to ignore?

May it would be better to give feedback on the plugin on the other forum, where the main coder lullula is active: https://www.linuxsat-support.com/thread/26897-movie-browser/?pageNo=8

- (16)
- (18)
- Subleffa:
- Kino
- Yle Live:
- Klassikko
- 4D
