View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] Openvix 5.??
Hi
Ive been trying to upgrade my VuSolo2
I have benn using 5.4.009 for about 18 months or so.
Tried going to 6, but my IPTV Plugin doesnt work with it. , Im informed that its something to do with Python 2 and Python 3 :confused:
Can i get a late edition Image from 5.4 that is Python 2 compatible?
I cant see anything in the archives section.
Cheers

which IPTV plugin??
iptv is already python 3 possible
My Plugin is OldGold
Wont work on Openvix 6
worked great on 5.4.009 but some of the Image features were no longer available, so i thought if i can get an image later thn 5.4.009 i could be back up and running.
I've tried using OpenAtv 6.2 but i am a bit disappointed with the results (picture quality, sound volume levels) It might be that im not familiar with it. Ive used Vix for 6-7 years and I am comfy with it

Well, there are endless really good IPTV plugins out there (e.g. Kiddacs Xstreamity or e2m3u2bouquet).
Do you have an IPK for the plugin? If so post it here, cannot find anything via Google
I've been informed today that my Plugin is Python 3 compatible. It worked well on 5.4.009.
So does anyone know a reason why it wont work on 6 ?
Is there a way i can ask the question with the Support Team?
thanks

well if you install on 6 & create debug logs....... and post the debug logs, and either the source or an ipk or how its downloaded, then we can look at the issue.... otherwise no idea
Im willing to try
How do i create debug logs ?
Havent got an IPK I install via Telnet and a copy and pasted script from an address

menu/setup/system/logs/settings ------------> enable, save on hdd (not flash), set time to localtime,
if you do not wish to post here the telnet address, then PM me with details on how you download and I will see if I can download the plugin

The plugin can be installed using following command:
wget 'http://aiohost.in/Install-Scripts/old-gold-remote-install.sh' -O '/etc/enigma2/install.sh' && chmod 777 /etc/enigma2/install.sh && sed -i 's/\r$//' /etc/enigma2/install.sh && /etc/enigma2/install.sh
@Abu ... thanks.
@Taffia, These guys are just trying to be clever, they use a hacked version of e2m3u2bouquet(which a normal download that works on python 3), so they can be "special". Anyway can see the code they are using, so if you have issues post the debug logs
Hello twol
Trying again to get my preferred IPTV plugin to work on VuSolo2 with Openvix 6....
it worked fine on 5
you previously indicated that i should post debug logs ? Save to HDD not Flash? i dont have a HDD installed.
is there are work around?
thnks
Don't you have a storage device attached for recordings and epg?
If no Hdd use a usb formatted on box and Initialize it , set up logs and reboot box i think?

The default location for logs is on internal flash, /home/root/logs
You don't have to to have a storage device. Also avoids the spinning up to write logs.
