View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] CCCAM does not work after a power failure

Since the 6.2 release, if the sat-receiver (VU+ SOLO2) shuts down due to a power failure, the CCCAM will fail after restart.

The transmission is interrupted every 10 seconds and restarts after 10 seconds.

The only way to solve the error is to reinstall the image.

debug log?
How are you starting, stopping CCcam?

After restarting the satellite receiver, the picture freezes for 10 seconds, then restarts and stops again.

CCCAM start/stop does not help.

Restore settings does not help.

Only image re-flash and then restore settings helps.

what I read elswere was that from 12/21/2022 Tivusat wants to block cards on non-certified decoders.

Holy crap, you are right, did a quick search for that. So we still have the all FTA RAI channels coming through, so at least that, … what can you do.

Thanks for the tip urie

Shoot! Is it likely a workaround will emerge? Any ideas?

I see from the link to the original reporting at https://www.investireoggi.it/tech/tivusat-blocca-tessere/ that legal cards should function in a cam. What led me to this forum a couple of years back was the fact that I couldn't get my card and cam to work in the VuPlusUltimo 4K. My older non-4K box was still working with another card and cam (I have to check this now after this recent change because it's currently not switched on) and BobbyC, who has reported the issue here, and The Sicilian helped me set up the 4K with a softcam. I'm wondering now if there might be a solution with a cam?

from other site : You have to run oscam web interface, next run readers, and write emm from to Your Tivusat reader. That's all. After that Your card will be works properly.

There was a change to the way software CAMs work in OpenViX quite recently.
I remember I moved my oscam configuration files to a different directory.
I can't remember if it was an optional change, or whether I had to do it.
I think it must have been due to this:

Funnily enough using the latest oscam binaries and the problem has disappered. Softcam manager works just like it should.
