I was setting up a new DUO the other day and had great difficulty getting it to work with the HDD for recordings. The problem was noted when I telnet'd into the box to see what paths were available. /hdd was a symlink to media/hdd and recordings were looking for /hdd/movie. The movies directory didn't exist in the hdd folder so I created this and all was fixed. I suspect there is a small coding error when setting the mount points under initialisation so for those of you who are experiencing the same issues, you can rectify this quite easily by logging in as root and issuing:
mkdir -p /media/hdd/movie
