Hi,

I am using an Edison modulator to broadcast my streaming stick to my Duo2 DVB-t. This solution works well and the picture quality is great.

I've added the service to the favourites bouquet and it appears in the list as TV-1, see attached:

64218

I'm using this to stream my Nowtv channels to the Duo2 which allows me to record and pause live tv events i.e. Sky F1.

I would like to use the EPG to schedule events and record. The modulator only broadcast the output from the streaming stick and I'm trying to make the Duo2 use the EPG downloaded by my box. I have a DVB-s card fitted to the same Duo2 which I use for Freesat.
I have read on other forums that you can use an EPG from a satellite channel when using IP streams and it suggest that I need to swap the SID, TSID & OIND from the Sat channel. I've tried this and I have the now and next info but no picture.

64219

These are the to services I'm trying to combine

#SERVICE 1:0:1:3E8:1:1:EEEE0000:0:0:0: (TV-1)
#SERVICE 1:0:1:51B:7DC:2:11A0000:0:0:0: (SkyF1)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the real service ref in the bouquet file.

Hi Huevos,

Is the service ref the same as the service ID (SID)? If so I thought :51B is the correct ID for SkyF1

From what I've read the #SERVICE is made up with the following:

- Transport stream ID (TSID)
- Original Network ID (ONID)
- Service ID (SID)
- Namespace (NS)

Currently, the modulator looks like this:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:3E8:1:1:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

Sky F1 looks like this:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:51B:7DC:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

I changed it to this:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:51B:7DE:2:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

I've put these lines in my:

/etc/enigma2/userbouquet.favourites.tv

Thank for your help

If you are streaming from one box to another there would be a URL in your bouquet file.

Please post that bouquet file.

Hi Huevos,

I'm not trying to stream anything. I have an Edison Modulator, which has a HDMI input and broadcasts this over UHF to my Duo2.

The Duo2 tunes into the UHF signal and the channel appears as a scanned channel. I then move this to 'My favourites'.

My Duo2 also has a DVB-s card which I use to view free channels. As part of the scan it picks up all the Sky channels, I've also moved SkyF1 to 'my favourites' .

I'm trying to force the UHF channel to use the channel info from the SkyF1 channel.

Many thanks

So where is the EPG data coming from? The service ref has to match the EPG data.

I was hoping I could force my box to use the EPG data from another channel. This is what userbouquet.favourites.tv looks like:

NAME Favourites (TV)
#SERVICE 1:0:19:EFB:1:1:EEEE0000:0:0:0::TV-1
#DESCRIPTION SKY F1
#SERVICE 1:0:1:51B:7DC:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

You can only use EPG data from another channel if it is when the current channel is a stream. That is because the EPG comes from the service ref and the video comes from the URL.

Maybe try something like the Crossepg ALIAS script that is used to copy epg from one channel to another?
