Hi all,
At some point, I must have changed the default root password (which, I'm told is blank)
I believe the only way to reset the password is via the passwd command once you're logged in as root over telnet, but as I cannot login over telnet (cos I've forgotten the password), I'm kinda stuck
I've convinced myself that I need to reinstall OpenVix, but when I put the USB key in, it just goes thru the upgrade process which, of course, retains whatever the password is currently set to
So, I guess I have two questions:
Is there any way to reset the root password when one does not have the current password and, if there is no way to do that then...
How does one "force" a reinstall of OpenVix?
Many thanks
