Four Images on SF8008

I have my SF8008 combo with preinstall 4 images, few day back, Slot1 Define, Slot 2 Open ATV, Slot 3 Hyperion 8, Slot 4 Open Pli 8.2, There is no SD card or USB attached. Is there any other Image in Flash or base Image ? How can I know ?

This is not OpenMultiBoot plugin. All those images are in flash memory (based on your description). They are all base images and you pick which one to use.

In the standby/restart menu, there is a multi boot image selection menu where you can see all the images.

If I want to do all new images and clean all previous images and settings, where to start, and how to keep my installed images as backup then restore ?

In OpenViX, when you long press Power button, you will get a menu including Multiboot selector ------> this allows you to delete (and if you make a mistake Restore that image)
..... most images have now copied this function into their images, but you will have to look at their menu's to find it.
However, when you online flash a new image, you choose a slot and the image in that slot will be replaced by the new image.

Again, in OpenViX press Blue button, ---> ViX ------------> BackupManager will backup your current settings which can be used to restore to current setup if you usb or online flash a new image. ImageMananger will allow you to backup current Image and flash a new image online.
------ some images do not include a capability to backup the existing image (although you can install a plugin to do this in some images), but most (if not all) will backup settings - again you need to look at Image menu's to find that option.

If you refer to the instructions on the Openeight site by smokey, you can use an sd card to increase the possible images the SF8008 can boot from 4 to 16.

I may use sd card, but extend 2 more slots, it seem easy, More slots seem slight difficult procedure , as I try to Backup my image on one slot, it stores as mmc.zip, under which option I can restore it later when needed ?

It's really easy to format the sd card so you can use it as a multiple boot device. A simple script (that has commented lines of code that you can easily alter so that you can have more slots or more partitions as needed) is provided that you just run as a one off.. I have had no problems having 16 different images on a 32G good quality sd card. Even if you then remove the sd card the box reverts back to the standard 4 slots. There are also instructions to save the new bootup code just in case of problems with the card. The bootup menu automatically takes into account the extra slots. You just boot into the menu by holding in the front button on the box and download extra images from the network or from a usb stick. You can save and restore images from any slot to any other slot from within most of the latest images, including Openvix, Openpli and Openeight. Also its great to experiment with new Python 3 images like Openvix 6.x and Openbh 5.1.
