View Full Version : [VU+ Uno] Plugin feed offline
Hi there!
Tried to reinstall 5.2.045 as the latest working Version for Vu+ Uno but Plugin feed seems offline. Getting an maintenance message when flashing backup.
Fresh install did not change anything as well.
opkg update on telnet throws wget returned 8 error. see pic.
Anything i could try to get it back to work?

Please update to a current version. There are no longer feeds for 5.2 or 5.3.
On 5.4 there is only settings available in the feeds! Is the same goes for 5.4 too?

So when Openpli transfer to python3 what will you do?
Do you think it would be possible to open up feeds for the latest 5.4 build ?, unfortunately I am unable to upgrade quite yet due to a plugin I use not being compatible with 6.x yet (Python issue).

Which plugin? ….. let us know and if possible we will have a look at updating
It's a third party plugin called XtremeTV, seems to be Python 2 based.
Developers don't seem to have updated it yet, I have contacted them asking.... but nothing as of yet, as such I have to stay on 5.4.016 :( , assuming Python 2 can't be installed on Vix 6.x ?
In addition, I need a few feed plugin's (Blue-HD skin, MGCamD, and CrossEPG), am happy to install them manually.

Crossepg & nfs are not an issue. Mgcamd might be depending on the receiver and support in python 3. if Blue-hd is kiddac,s should be fixed for py3.
I realise everyone likes certain plugins, but there are numerous IPTV plugins out there that run on py3 … what ever the providers might want… the key is not to get locked in to a particular provider.
Unfortunately, my provider is next to useless :( , they are not able to provide me with a working m3u playlist - the option is there on their portal, but it just doesn't work, therefore things like Xtremity don't work for me.
I have brought it to their attention, but they keep directing me to the XtremeTV plugin, despite me advising it is not compatible with Python 3 images such as v6.x
As such, I am very much stuck on v5.4.016 - it's not that I don't want to upgrade, I very much do - I simply am unable to atm.
That said, if you know of an alternative XtremeTV plugin, would be more than happy to give it a go.
Is there anywhere where I can obtain the IPK installer files for Blue-HD skin, MGCamD and CrossEPG ?
Thanks for your replies, and help btw - very much appreciated.

Regarding Python 2, it was replaced 10 years ago by Python 3, and has been completely unsupported for the last 2 years.
If they can't update their plugin you should really go elsewhere.
Is there any way I can copy CrossEPG from another fully configured box I have which is also on v5.4.016 ?
Got a copy of MGCamD from https://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/softcams/
I've also just copied blue-hd over from usr/share/engima2 - and all good.
If not, is there anywhere I can download CrossEPG from Huevos ?

Crossepg has 2 branches, a python2 branch and a python3 branch, so both environments are supported( the code is basically the same with slight changes for each python version.)
/etc/enigma2/crossepg contains the setup files I believe, so copying these across should help.
Which box do you have , because if it mulltiboots then it makes switching much easier.

If not, is there anywhere I can download CrossEPG from Huevos ?You don't need Cross. OpenTV downloader is built in to the 5.4 image.
I have a Duo 4k SE, and a Solo 4K.
Solo 4K is the box I've just rebuilt after testing Vix v6.0 on it for a few weeks - I did make an image backup prior to installing v6.0 on my box, but the for life of me I'm unable to find the file on my pc, must have mistakenly deleted it.
I'll see if I can copy the Cross EPG setup files across from my Duo 4K box.
Everything is working fine except not having CrossEPG.
Why do you specifically need crossepg? there are alternatives depending on your requirements
Simply due to it being the EPG manager/downloader which I know how to use tbh.
I did try the other embedded EPG manager/downloader, EGP importer I think it was, but didn't find it that friendly and couldn't get it working properly.
I've just seen the OpenTV downloader, and that looks very simple to use, so will have a looksie at that.
Out of interest, what is generally considered the best EPG manager/downloader app ?, as it's probably time I move away from CrossEPG.
It depends on what you are trying to achieve ie what providers
How can you be building 6.0. It does not exist anymore.
And Cross works fine in 6.2.
I downloaded it a while back, and flashed it just a few weeks back to see if I could my IPTV provider to play ball - but as explained above, no dice there.
Am on 28.2, and would be looking for Sky UK/FTA EPG data only, along with a scheduler in order to specify what days/time to pull down the latest data.
The OpenTV downloader requires very little configuring. You can set it to update every few hours so it will always be up to date. It comes as part of the image so no need to download any plugin
Yes, I've started using the OpenTV downloader, extremely straightforward to use, I think this will be my 'go to' EPG downloader from now on.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, much appreciated.
Hopefully my IPTV provider will get M3U playlists working at some point, then I can update to 6.x and run Xtreamity.
