.... I've never seen the OP's crash, and timers are still fine with the above attachment.

hdmicec issue ... but still cannot see how it happens!
I'm having a problem with putty, I get to entering 'root' then it is asking for the password but it stops recognising the keyboard so can't enter it. I tried the SSH and Telnet options. Any ideas?
I noticed "hdmicec issue", I don't think the hdmi cec settings have been touched in some time but should I be checking something in there?

Putty …. Windows or linux? I use linux (Ubuntu) and haven‘t seen that issue…. Athough when you type in password it doesn‘t show anything, so try typing it in and then hit enter.
Temporary bypass to issue, turn off hdmi cec, although I would like to know if change works as it was not an obvious change.
On windoze, it was just hiding it, doesn't even advance cursor, but think I got the command entered and file swapped and I setup a timer which has worked so thanks for all the help.

Thanks for feedback
Timer crash has just happened again, is it worth trying previous fix again or is something over riding it?
I did a bit more experimenting and it is just zap timers that cause the crash, it was a record timer I did the check with previously.

So can you repeat post #3 but use the attachment below - this should fix your issue. Thank you for your patience, this code is obviously not used a lot by other people!

Tried a zap and record timer and all seems good, so thanks again.
I have just done updates and online flashes for quite some time , would a USB flash without restoring settings and plugins clean things out a bit?

It's the equivalent of starting from scratch, a total cleanout, except for the hdd which is left as is.
